Approx twenty-five years ago i remembered a PATA programme…the traveller came, though usually pass by Msia starting in to Thailand from Spore
I have stayed 7 years in Spore, i saw they have so many tourists, you stayed in Bangkok for 3 years, each month i trafficked behind to Penang many of a time i took a sight as well as someday by Air Asia…travelling alone i talked a lot to tourists, you know be a smart aleck as well as giveaway transport confidant to kill time generally when i take a sight it was twenty-two hrs, infancy of a traveller transport from Bangkok to Penang so which they can magnify their visa in Thailand, a little transport to KL for a reduced outing afterwards off to Spore…they have been regulating Msia usually for transit
Now Airasia move Australian to KL directly, in January i went to SiemReap around LCCT, you met a organisation of Australians as well as you trafficked together as well as stayed in a same hotel…all of them usually make use of KL as a transit, a many usually a single night in KL, they went to Siem Reap, PhenomPenh afterwards Bangkok, Spore afterwards go home……why tourists jump over Msia? you asked them, they usually contend Msia is not interesting….if not for AirAsia they wouldn’t be here during all…..

Probably because there isn’t much info given by our tourism ministry. When you reach Singapore/Thailand, the first thing you’ll see is lots and lots of pamplets, maps, etc to guide tourists around. You can even get them in shopping malls.
In KL, even the so called tourist’s information booth is empty. A waste of money to build it. Who’s going to come??
Next, if you search for travel guide from the internet, there are hardly any for Malaysia, but just search for Thailand, you get a whole lot of information.
Even if the information of Malaysia is there, they are not detailed enough, and this include websites created by the ministry.
Malaysia is very interesting, but we are just not promoting them!
Almost every Singaporean speak English. Foreigners come here and ask locals something, they shy away answering, "tak tahu, tak tahu". The people know their places around very well. Here, ask me to drive to PJ from KLCC also I tak tahu.
The signboards are horrible, drivers are crazy, and most importantly:-
things that you can get cheap and abundant in Thailand is not available in Malaysia.
i like skipping.. a frog like it more coz frog lompat-lompat
Do not bother to think too much.
Most Malaysian loves to condemn their own country.
And whenever we met tourist, most of us blabbering about
political issues, religious restriction and other unrelevant problem
that did’nt even have anything to do with them.
And most Malaysian are too arrogant (sorry I said this but most foreigners I met told me this).
Generally tourist are attracted to see wonders of nature.
We do have a lot of interesting places, but our ‘buang sampah merata2′ attitude placed us at most bottom part of nature beauty.
Don’t say we don’t have entertainment, coz we do.
But do we have one place in Malaysia where there in no ‘red plastic bag’ littered on the ground?
I don’t think so!
Malaysia promote itself as a Malay counrty… nothing much if a Muslim country can offer with so many restriction to foreigner.
Truth hurts, why not you tell us the truths.
Here are my reasons why the tourists skip Malaysia: 1. they just do not like Malaysians. 2. We do not have much to offer, such as historical sites or any cultural heritage. 3. They get annoyed by the critics of the ministers.
This is what my friends from other countries who wanted to visit, told me….
1. Malaysia, to them, is a Muslim country….so, to them, it means terrorism.
2. Malaysia lays too many restrictions but not much security.
3. With high authorities squabbling and ”bish-bashing”, where is the respect?
4. Thailand is a better place to be, so almost all of them agreed.
>>What more can I say…but to tell them that Malaysia’s main religion is Islam but it is not a Muslim country…but, to them, it is and always will be…
>>What more can I say…but to tell them that high authorities in other countries have done worse…but, to them, everything has become the joke of the century…
Yes, everything is the joke of the century…lol.
