wow..im surprised for all the responses u get..this is by far my opinion and here it goes. hope it helps both of you for a wonderful holiday in penang…

interms of budget, im sure u would have no problems with both, both are equally at par in terms of the price..

paradise sandy beach is located on the earlier parts of the beaches in penang…it is closest to town.…if ur looking forward to spending ur time mostly in town,its a good choice..the rooms are nice

bayview is located along the strectches of penang’s beautiful beaches..great if u intend to live the holiday in relaxation and stick to the beaches..anyhow..theres night market that goes on every night..great view from the room, the service is fantastic..amenities is of the best.. personally i prefer bayview resort…

food is praisable in sandy whilest in bayview,there are wide ranges of food not just in-hotel but across the hotel as well.. amazing restaurants..seafoods especially are easily found along the stretch…

my choice : bayview

Hi mandel.

I have stayed in both, here’s my advice.

Bayview Beach Hotel.
Further away from town, 40 minutes plus.
A more secluded area.
Cleaner beach.
Cleaner hotel.
Better service.
In the main tourist spot of Batu Ferringhi

Sandy Bay
The only thing i can think of is that it’s nearer to town. 20 mins plus.

both are nice 4 stars hotels. The difference between these two is the location..paradise sandy beach located in tanjung bungah while bayview hotel located in Batu Feringghi..

Batu feringghi has the best beach in penang..and most of 5 stars hotels are in this area..there’s a lot of stuff to do here and lots of things to see and mind you its kinda further up and away from the city..

While tanjung bungah, also has the same few things to offer and its quite near to the city..

You are so lucky. Maylaysia is a wonderful country.
Adventure out of the tourist areas, were the local people go.
the local food is fabulous

OK stay at the Shangri-La in Penang.

In KL Melia is a nice place

obviously, not many people on those beaches this day. tsunamiphobia, perhaps
now you can have more peaceful beach. enjoy your holiday.

I’m advising you – stay in Bayview Hotel. If you go to Sandy Bay, you’ll waste your expenses because that is the hotel that people who long stays would avoid. The place is quite cramp and it looks quite mild. If you still insist on Paradise Hotel, then go for Beachcomber Paradise Resort. If you don’t know how to get there, do ask for help. Make sure you get directions from the appropriate area. Never get help from an Isolated Area or you may just ended up being a victim to crime, even though petty.
