According to your requirments i think Cenang Beach Resorts are the right choice,as it’s the best beach close to town.There are lot of 3/4/5 star acoomadations available there.If you can afford Casa Del Mar is the best one and Meritus Pelangi beach resort,Bon Ton Beach resort etc are also good choices…go through the websites and read the user reviews.Dont get worried about organised package tours,allmost all the resorts offer package tours arround the Island.Make a good plan of places to visit.
