There are 8 suggestions to question “When is the best time to go to Penang Isle? and what hotel do you reccomend?”

  1. Hello

Traders hotels is the best and strategically located at the city center. There are others of course, depending on your budget. Visit http://www.penang-vacations.com/hotels-in-penang-malaysia.html

The best time to visit, Feb, July, Aug & Dec

    ABC

  2. Traders Hotel is the best on the island..Pricey but worth every
    $$$$.

The only time not to go is late august to October. Otherwise, they have festivals year-round, and weather is never a problem.

Have a great time there, you will go back frequently..especially if you are single.

    Good luck.

  3. Stay clear of Malaysian school holidays….the nice spots will be full of families, eer, unless you like crowds…(Public Holidays and State Holidays are at http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v3/bm/cuti07.php) School holidays

Weather wise: In Malaysia it rains all the time: heavy flashes which ends quickly

Hotels? Depends on your budget. Big spender – Anywhere Batu Feringgi? Anyway, on-line booking sites will have pics to help you decide (eg asiatravel.com, malaysia-hotels.net ……search under ‘malaysia hotels’ of course)

To get more people’s opinions, about Penang, the sites, hotels etc, go to site such as tripadvisor.com (moi a member of course…I rubbish disgusting hotels and praise the good ones there)

Oh, found this one (list of school holidays) for you: http://www.abcmalaysia.com/tour_malaysia/sch_holidays.htm

    Have a good trip

  4. According to LonelyPlanet guide ( http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/asia/malaysia/penang ), anytime is a good time to go:

"As its climate varies very little throughout the year, Penang’s weather probably won’t influence your decision regarding when to go too heavily. The island has a tropical climate, with balmy temperatures of between 23°C (73°F) and 31°C (88°F) and high humidity year-round. Brief, torrential downpours occur at all times of the year, though the period between April and October sees more rain.

With so many religions and cultures, it’s no surprise that Malaysia celebrates an amazing number of festivals and occasions throughout the year. Penang has a reputation for celebrating these events with particular enthusiasm, and planning your trip to coincide with a festival or two can add a whole new dimension to your experience of the island. The Tourism Malaysia website is a good starting point for details of specific dates and venues for the year’s festivals and parades."

So — go when you want to go!

As far as hotels go, there are plenty of great places to stay, but the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa ( http://www.resideo.com/79376041.hotel )is one of the highest-rated resorts around.

But, check out the other area hotels here:
    http://www.resideo.com/my/penang/

You can read about each resort, view pics, ask questions, check rooms/rates & book online.

    Have a great trip!

  5. Anytime is the best time really.
If you want to be there during the local festivals, then do so.
As to hotels, it depends on your budget.
Please do not go to the ones in Chulia Street …oooooops…dirty but cheap (guess why….guess).
Go stay in the beach resorts…great seaview and relaxing too.
    Have an enjoyable stay.

  6. Its all year round best place to visit. Tonnes of hotels… but the question is how much are you willing to spend?

  7. December, Pesta Penang. Paradise beach Hotel!

  8. best time – anytime
