There are 7 suggestions to question “We are going to Thailand in November. Will stay 2nights in Bangkok, then fly to Phucket.?”

  1. Hotels
Problem with hotels is that the new airport where you’ll be flying into is out in the middle of nowhere and there aren’t many places to stay yet. Hopefully some of the other answers helped.
    Try http://www.asiarooms.com

    Airlines
November is approaching peek season so it i good to buy them now if you know your dates. However you might wait awhile longer to wait for online deals. For example Nok Air just had $18US tickets a few weeks ago to fly anywhere in Thailand. You have a few choices.

    Nok Air http://www.nokair.com
I prefer this airline because they are about as cheap as you can get and are usually on time.

    Air Asia http://www.airasia.com
This is almost always the cheapest airline and you can get it even cheaper flying the midnight flights. However, they are very rarely on time. I’ve flown it maybe 30 times and have maybe been on time 20% of the time. There is no assigned seating so boarding the plane is kind of madness.

    1-2-Go http://www.fly12go.com/en/main.shtml
This airline is 1700 baht most of the time and is on time but you can usually get cheaper with air asia or nok.

    Thai Air http://www.thaiair.com
This is my favorite airline in the world. Problem is that it’s more expensive if you have a budget.

    Hope that helps a little.

  2. you should def. purchase your tickets to phuket in canada being that november is high season for thailand. you have better chances of getting on a flight than waiting in thailand for the next available.
try purchasing a low air-fare website for nok-air or 1-2 go.

as far as close to the airport, shanghai inn in china town was a great hotel, not close to airport as youd wish but they have great service. its about 35-40 mins away from suvarnabhumi and 20-25 mins from don muang airports

  3. why phuket? are you going to thailand to experience thailand? i wouldn’t go there if so. it is very nice and beautiful there but it is designed for tourism. they have tours for thailand that take you places you normally wouldn’t go on your own. some tours even go to Chang Mia. we are going in Dec. on the tour. 7 days 5 nights for $1,200. Included is air fair, 4 star hotels, 3 meals a day, and transportation. we fly out of Los Angeles so I’m not sure what it would cost in Canada.
you should buy your tickets from Canada to Phuket. have your trip free of stress. and a hotel in Bangkok try.
    Inn Come Suite

  4. It’s "PHUKET" by the way. pronounced poo-get.

  5. Funnily enough my wife and I are off to Phuket in November for our honeymoon. I’d recommend booking now with Air Asia (www.airasia.com). We got 2 returns from Bangkok for 4275 baht. That’s about 130 Canadian dollars. That includes all taxes (inc. airport tax). It’s a ticketless airline and you just show your passport and booking number at check-in. Larger planes than the tiny ones Nok Air use and generally good service for the very low price. No frills basically, but on time and pleasant enough. Hope this helps.

  6. if your going to stay in bangkok then don’t stay near the airport it’s about 40 km to downtown from the airport. see the link below and find yourself a hotel in the city. Your be in a better location to get some sight seeing in while your in Bangkok. As for flights to Phuket many airlines offer flights all day long your have no problems getting a reservation. Thai Air has the best service but also cost more.

  7. as my past experience, i think u should fly Thai Airways all the way so to get cheaper fares. n 4 a nice / cheaper htl in BKK. i’d tried the Novotel Siam (there’s 2 Novotel in BKK / make sure is the Siam one), it’s a 4-stars + lately got renovated. so it’s quite nice to stay there + the breakfast was good. Siam district is a MUST GO shopping area of all tourists….. if u stay there, u could save a lot time + $ on traffic. BKK airport is pretty far fr the city….so u do not like to stay at the airport htl…….nothing to do there. it’s take abt 45 mins (if no traffic jam) fr airport to the city by taxi + cost abt US$25.
