Our Bangkok road house is in Sukhumvit, the Marriott.. what great selling areas have been in or nearby Sukhumvit? what have been the little great tighten by eateries as well as decent selling destinations in which area? Also, what have been the little great selling malls in Pattaya, as well as which would u contend have been the most appropriate malls in Bangkok which have been simply permitted from Sukhumvit, similar to the max of half an hour from Sukhumvit? Thank you!
Also, what have been the little vulnerable areas which we should, perfectly avoid?

These are all really close to the Marriott, within a couple BTS Skytrain stops at the most (10 minutes). All are on Sukhumvit Road unless otherwise noted
MBK Mall ( a must see for cheap things, knockoffs, etc)
Siam Paragon (Bangkok’s newest and most expensive)
Central World
Siam Square
Erawan Bangkok (has a famous shrine for good luck)
All Season Place (wireless road near Sukhumvit)
Central Chidlom (7 floor department store major brands)
Gaysorn (Vuitton, Dior, etc)
Siam Center (local brands, Jaspal, European labels)
The Marriott is on about the best location for shopping. Around Soi 5 is Tony Roma’s ribs from America which is great food. There are some wonderful restaurants in Siam Paragon and Central World malls.
Sample the local Thai food. Where ever you see a large group of Thai’s eating that is the place to eat Thai food.
You will be surrounded by restaurants so finding something you want to try will not be a problem
Actually Sukhumvit has some good shopping areas, if you walk along Sukhumvit Road from Nana to Asoke you will find alot of vendors selling stuff from DVDs to Thai souvenirs.
You can also take the BTS Skytrain although it is a bit far from the closest station to Siam, and from there you will find Siam Paragon, Central World and MBK. The best places to shop and within walking distance to Pratunam, where you will find the best deals on clothing.

I’d recommend the store that can easily go by sky train, Siam Paragon (Siam Station)and Central world (Chidlom Station).
But you can also find cheaper things in MBK (National Stadium station) and if you have time try visiting "Cha tu chak" Weekend market, it open on Sat and Sun, lots of things to see and buy.
Actually, the most dangerous area are in the tourist places like Phatphong or Kaosan road….so, just beware of your vallet.
