At hawker stands you can get meals for about a buck…they really are quite clean, and taste better than any other food. However, if you are crazy for the classy type foods, it depends how fancy you get. At Chinese New Year, we visit a super high-class restaurant and it costs like $3000 for a ten-course dinner (for like five people). Just budget, there’s restaurants all over Malaysia to cater to your hygienic and financial needs.
Shopping is really cheap, if you know where to go. Really pretty shirts are like $6 Canadian, MAX!

Food at hawker stalls are cheap and tasty. Clothes are not cheap, because most of the items are designer labels. If u go there during the month of August, when they have the mega sale, u can find good bargains. Also if u want to buy electrical and electronic items, its very cheap there.
