In Bangkok, try City Residence near Twin Tower Hotel. It is near to Mahboonkrong and Siam Square! In Singapore, try Hotel 81. There are a few of them around the city!!!
There shouldn’t be any problem exchanging Indian money in Bangkok at any bank. As for a hotel can’t help you because there are hotels for every budget. Your $1100 dollars/40,000 baht should be more than enough for a week at a realitively nice hotel. food is very cheap in Bangkok but I would make sure your HepA and Hep B shots are done.

If you do not have much cash perhaps when you reach reach singapore you may consider taking public transport like mrt or buses. You can bring along your credit cards in case you need money all the big shopping malls do have credit card system. Cheap hotels maybe you can try fragrance hotels or hotel 81 these 2 hotel group are quite budget and is clean and neat.
