I stayed at the Langkasuka resort in Langkawi. It is a quiet place. Not many frills. Has a private beach..nice to take lazy strolls at night. Has a swimming pool and they have dinner by the poolside. Not an upmarket hotel. Good midle class hotel with decent facilities. Breakfast included. Google for price….

below of the list of nice hotel/resorts n their prices
5star & above resorts

Berjaya Beach Resort = RM 200-300 (near the beach secluded areas)
Pelangi Beach Resort = RM 200-300 (at chenang beach – quite happening at nite at those areas)
Casadelma Hotel = RM 300-500
Tanjung Rhu Beach Resord = RM500-1000 (excellent place, nice secluded at Tanjung Rhu beach)
Four Season Hotel RM 500-5000.00 (excellent place, nice secluded at Tanjung Rhu Beach)
The Andaman resort RM 1000.00-5000.00 (at Datai Area, excellent ambient lovely for couples)

There’s a lot of cheap hotels ranges from RM 80-200
these hotels were also quite nice & well known for backpackers
most of it situated in Pantai Chenang..

Berjaya Langkawi, I’ve been there 3X. It’s about RM250 – 300 per night which covers all meals & accomodation.
