Need suggestions upon KL debate with my friends. We usually know Petronas tower. We have been staying during swiss grassed area hotel.
There are 2 suggestions to question “Kuala Lumpur in 2 days!?”
Stay near the Petronas Twin Towers, walk the Sky Bridge in the morning, visit the Acquaria, have a drink at a cafe fronting the KLCC park. After that, take a taxi to Batu Caves to see the Indian templed built into a limestone cave and watch the cheeky monkeys in action.
Other suggestions for day fun:
1) Lunch at the revolving restaurant atop KL Tower
2) Visit the bird park, butterfly farm and Islamic Art Museum with friends. On the way back, stop at Independence Square for some photos and walk to the Central Market to check out arts and crafts.
3) Pack your swimming costume and head to Sunway Lagoon theme park with friends. There is also a huge shopping mall Sunway Pyramid right next to it with lots of shops that appeal to adolescents
4) Shopping at Bukit Bintang area. Pavillion Mall is great.
5) Balinese massage at the Samsara Spa at Swiss Garden Hotel http://swissgarden.com/hotels/sghkl/sghk…
6) Visit Putrajaya to see the new Malaysian architecture http://www.putrajaya.net.my
7) Day trip to Genting Highland casino & theme park, or Kuala Gandah elephant sanctuary, or visit Melaka for something more cultural. There is also a crocodile farm along the way.
Your hotel may be able to arrange day trips for you.
For the evening:
1) Good restaurants and pubs at Changkat Bukit Bintang
2) Fine dining at any restaurant in Star Hill (relish underground floor)
3) Pretty rooftop bars: Luna Bar at Pacific Regency Hotel or Sky Bar at Trader’s Hotel in the city centre
4) Rent a karaoke room at Red Box (Basement 1, Low Yat Plaza) with a few friends and show off your talent within the small sound-proof room
5) If you aren’t Muslim, dare yourself to sample hawker food at the China Town or at Jalan Alor. If you love seafood, try out the crabs (cheap and good here) at seafood restaurants like the Hakka Seafood or Mei Keng Fatt at Lorong Awan, Ampang.
Warning: Be careful of snatch thieves (usually 2 Malay boys on a bike) who are multiplying like crazy in KL. If you are renting a car, keep minimal belongings with you and inside the car. Don’t store things in the trunk either. When driving alone, put your handbag under the seat – never on the seat. Use the hotel safe.
Well then you definitely cant miss out on the water parks! I suggest that for at least one meal, you take the train out and go to a really local place and completely slum out your meal. The local cuisine is pretty damn brilliant so push away that luxurious feeling and rough it up for a couple of hours. Also-If you go out wearing a tank top or shorts, you will get a lot of angry glares, so maybe to avoid any political/religous mishap, cover yourself up!
