Malaysia Airlines are paying for the reservation, so speak to them and find out just how long you have the room for. It is good of them to put you up overnight at no cost, but 8 hours of sitting around in the airport is really not ideal.
Checkout times are not set in stone. The hotel has the discretion to allow you to check out later, even if it is at a fee, so see what the airline says. Even if you must vacate by midday, it is most unlikely that you will have to leave the hotel at that time. They will almost certainly be happy for you to stick around and use the rather pleasant looking facilities.
You will have to vacate your room by the 12:00 check out time so that staff can prepare your room for the next guest. Most likely the hotel will have secure storage where you can leave your baggage until you are ready to make your connection.
