I am going to Bangkok for 5 nights then Ko Samui/Koh Phanghan for 8 nights. How much money should I take?
I have already paid for Hotels as well as breakfast as well as flights. We additionally need to compensate for a sight to Ko Samui

I would say $100 a day or 3,500 baht if you plan to party and have a good time and do some shopping. Deep in mind that you don’t take a train to Koh Samui you take a train to Sarat Thani and a bus or van to the pier for the ferry ride to Samui.
at least £1.50
You wont need all that much i did the same route a few years ago you’ll love it. I think you’ll need about £400 but thats to live lavishly!! And of course to buy crap knock offs!! AND remember to haggle!!
Depends. How much money do you want to burn? Is it going to be booze, women and songs all the time? If so, you need at least £200 per day. The women are not too expensive if you know how to haggle. But if you are not sober, you could be spending well over £200 per night because it will just be lifted off you. But if you’re there for the culture, you can make do with £100 per day, taking into account things you want to do such as bungee jumping, para-gliding, etc. These could set you back £20 -30 per go.
There is no train to Ko Samui, it is an island (ko mean island). Best option is to fly there. You can take a train about 5 – 6 hours down the western coast and then a boat but that is a long slog. It is ok for the backpacker, I did it once and once was enough. Train is about 300 baht, boat to Samui 3 – 500 baht but that was the overnight slow boat 5+ years ago. The boat from Samui to KPN is less than 1 hour and a couple hundred baht.
Also, never get in an altercation with a Thai, they are quite dangerous and attach mob style especially on Samui and KPN. Pay whatever, smile, walk away. There are deaths there every year, google it.
