i’ve been there recently, to me there are 2 choices..if you dont mind the hectic city life but love food at the same time and nearby to all those place of attraction..then the city hotels is great for you…but if you love the smell of the sea, beach activities, pasar malam that sells damn cheap dvd and nearby to many bars and exotic foods then the Feringghi Beach or Tanjung Bungah area is great for you…
Always get on to try the trishaw which they can bring you for sightseeing around the town..

Hi, along Gurney Drive, try Gurney Hotel & Resort, my fren is currently staying there for RM185, junior suite.
Downtown, you can try Cititel or Sunway Hotel. These 3 are recommended as they are not dodgy and popular.
Personally, as a Penangite, I love Gurney Hotel & Resort!

ok, since ur budget is within Rm100, and in the city area (georgetown), erm… may be you can try the merchance hotel, just opposite of cititel hotel, not bad, a few minutes walk to night life zone… and the landmark- komtar… many shops around that area, easy to reach the terminal…
you could give berjaya georgetown hotel a try. happy hols mate x)
Sorry we don’t have any hotels in Penang, only huts and tree houses.

I just spent 2 nights at the Merchant hotel in Jalan Penang its a very nice and clean hotel which costs $88 per night.
Hey you!..wow, thats cool..Penang is a very nice place to go and do sightseeing.
