They have been asking me to compensate for a work permit.
Please recommendation if this is a procession or scam?

Smells like scam to me. esp if you have to pay money upfront! Moreso if you have not applied in the first place.

Well there are many scams like this on the pretext of soliciting monies from people and mostly probably are you being scammed .

In Malaysia, no one pays to get a job. Definitely a scam prying on illiterate or ignorant people who are desperate for a job.
Go search on the internet or newspapers for a job. Don’t be too choosy with the salary, working place or nature of the job. If you are hardworking, you can survive on any job.
