Do you recommend me to stay in Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala lumpur?
Suggestions:
I suspect you mean the Swiss Garden at the top end of Bukit Bintang in the Golden Triangle. It’s a pretty good 3* hotel and it’s just been renovated, so the rooms are rather nice. It’s a good central location, it’s clean, looks pretty good and the Bukit Bintang area is a fabulous area – right in the middle of all the nightlife and shopping. It’s also close to the markets of Petaling Street. Plus you’re close to all the hawker stalls, so if you like local food, you’ll be in heaven. It’s a perfectly good hotel, not the best, not the worst and definitely nicer since the renovation. A friend of mine stayed there earlier this year and said it was fine.
Other options of a similar quality would be the Parkroyal, the Coronade, Holiday Village (though this is probably not quite as nice), the Concorde and the Corus.
PS – it was a solid 3* hotel when I used to sell it, and if it has been upgraded to 4* after the renovations, so much the better.
there are several "swiss garden" in kl.
i have never stayed in the GRAND one.. the one near the bus station but i have in the one near masjid jamek lrt station. it was good with friendly and helpful staff…
i think it is also call swiss garden HOTEL.
and oh by the way..fyi, the hotel is a four (4) stars hotel and not a 3 stars hotel as the answerer above me had claimed..
Swiss Garden Hotel is 4 stars deluxe hotel located in the heart of KL. Modern homely accommodation, excellent business centre, high-speed internet facilities etc. You can check the details in through this link :
Frankly, I am quite surprised by all the good reviews here which goes to show how positive Malaysians can be. Swiss Garden is not bad but it doesn’t have the most attractive location and some of its reception staff lack training (I had an extremely rude encounter). Nonetheless, it is good value for money.
Royale Bintang which is located closer to the shopping thoroughfare offers the same calibre of facilities and room rate.
Ok if SG is giving me the commission
Yes, I certainly would for the same reasons Sarah A mentioned.
Wonderful staff too.
